Finally Off-track and heroism in the world

On Thursday, Katina recieved some burst of humanity from the events in New York City. She had had a horrible day at work and hurt her back on Wednesday. She had been shopping and was on the verge of tears all day. When she got home on Thursday, Chris called her and told her to turn on CNN. As Katina watched this miracle, she realized that there were still good people left on this earth. What an incredible story!
Friday was Katina's last day of work. It was quite an exciting day. She had recess duty that morning and was yelling at the third graders to stop jumping off the jungle gym. A third grade teacher told Katina that they needed to take that set out because a kid was going to get hurt really bad. It happened at lunch. As we were sitting in the teacher's lounge on Friday, the recess aide come over a walkie talkie stating that a kid fell off the firemen's pole and paramedics needed to be called. An ambulance pulled in few minutes later, checked in at the office, and then pulled around the south playground in front of my relo. When I was walking back to my class, they were working on the 9-year old boy. Apparently, he jumped off the jungle gym and got a compound fracture to his femur. The kids were higher than a kite after that. Good thing it was a short day!

Wow...so many things always happen at school. Crazy stuff! I'm sorry about your back, I hope that it is feeling better. :)
