On Saturday after the parade, we got our beloved Sam back. They told us that to prevent him from licking his incisions and his pain patch, they put one of those funny cones around his head. He looks so cute! They also put a bandana around his head (I really don't know why). When he got home, he jumped out of his carrier and went straight to his food. I think the medicine made him a little loopy because he has been acting goofy since we got him home. The vet tech said this pain patch was a lot like a morphine pump that humans use. It seems to have been working, especially today, since this morning we found him sleeping on the entertainment center. He got down on his own, which means that he put a lot of pressure on those front paws, which had to hurt like the dickens. I get to take the pain patch and the cone collar off today. That could be fun!
